Digital Tv Labs Ibc 2010

Digital TV Labs provides specialised testing products and services to validate digital receiver conformance across various worldwide geographies. The company delivers conformance regimes for operator and broadcasters covering terrestrial, satellite, cable and IP delivery.

IBC 2010 SHOW LAUNCH

CI+ TEST TOOL – Digital TV Labs, the official CI Plus test house, is launching its CI Plus Test Tool for use by manufacturers. The CI Plus Test Tool facilitates the development, testing and debugging of CI Plus implementations on host receivers. Manufacturers can use the test tool to streamline their build process and reduce time to market by bringing pre-validated product to Digital TV Labs for certification.

CI Plus is an extension to DVB Common Interface, the technology introduced to allow a CAM (conditional access module) to be connected to TV reception devices to facilitate secure pay-TV services over third party networks. It has already been adopted by over 20 operators.

CI PLUS TURNKEY CONFORMANCE REGIMES – Digital TV Labs is now offering operators bespoke CI Plus conformance regimes to ensure that all aspects of a receiver product – most likely iDTVs – adhere to that specific operator’s network requirements. The Evora iSuite Operator test framework, incorporating the Digital TV Labs CI Plus Test CAM, can be tailored to an operator’s requirements (DVB-T/C/S) within a month, allowing operators to develop white list, logo programmes and conformance policies to guarantee interoperability.

PRODUCTS ALSO ON SHOW – Evora iSuite DVB Test Framework covering DVB-T/C/S across 28 countries, Digital TV Wiki, Pan EU Reference Book, RF Capture Test Suite

Testing Services: CI Plus, Freeview Australia, UK Freeview HD, Evora Pan-EU DVB, DVB-T/T2 RF, Portable Antennae, DVB SSU/OAD, RF Captures (DVB-T/H/C/T2 and ISDB-T), CI/CAM interoperability, DVB-S/C/T/T2 field testing and mobile test lab hire.
